Launching New Markets
Mark Goode’s work has included helping launch entirely new markets, structure unconventional strategic transactions, and solve high-stakes business problems where there was no established playbook. His experience ranges from co-founding MobileStar Network—the first nationwide public Wi-Fi network—to leading negotiations that secured exclusive agreements with Starbucks, American Airlines, and Hilton before Wi-Fi had become commercially mainstream. Those efforts ultimately helped position the company for acquisition by Deutsche Telekom and rebranding as T-Mobile Hotspot.
Complex Strategy and ExecutionBeyond telecommunications, Mark has led initiatives involving cybersecurity, intellectual property strategy, government programs, and cross-border negotiations. His work has included helping develop the first NSA-certified PC security product, structuring international licensing agreements that improved profitability ahead of acquisition events, designing strategies that avoided major IP litigation, and advising U.S. Army initiatives involving billions in projected procurement savings. Across these engagements, the common thread has been the ability to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders with competing interests, and structure commercially meaningful outcomes under pressure.
